When it comes to choosing which sports equipment to pack, think about activities your camper will focus on routinely versus try for the first time. No matter what, we have all the necessary equipment to support your camper. [View Packing List](/packing-list) **Luggage to Camp:** If your camper's luggage is set to arrive with your camper – either on the Tri-State bus or on an airplane – we are here to help make that a smooth process. For families looking to ship baggage to and from camp, UPS and FedEx are time tested favorites. [ShipCamps](https://www.shipcamps.com/camp-wigwam) is another option for door-to-door service. **Camp Wigwam Gear:** [Amerasport](https://www.amerasport.com/CAMP-WIGWAM/departments/16/) offers an entire catalog of camp branded gear. We only ask that campers arrive with two red and two grey t-shirts. A hoodie sweatshirt is nice too. _(Name labelled please)_ **International Campers:** We provide linens, blankets, and towels for international campers during the summer. **Returning Campers:** Don't forget your camp plaques! ## Visiting Day We invite you to experience the Wigwam way alongside your camper. Come join for a day of activities, performances, and unforgettable memories. The Health Lodge is open 24/7 for first-aid, evaluation, and recovery. For more serious or persistent symptoms, appointments are made to see the local family practice in town. All emergencies are addressed by Bridgton Hospital (15 minutes). The medical team is available for consultation before, during, and after camp. To arrange a pre- or post-camp conversation, reach out to Neal. During the summer months, the medical team can be reached directly at [nursing@campwigwam.com](mailto:nursing@campwigwam.com). ### Medication Wigwam uses CampMeds service for all prescription and non-prescription medications in order to improve the safety and efficiency of administration for every camper. Families should register their camper at [www.campmeds.com](https://www.campmeds.com/). If for any reason your camper's medication regimen cannot be fulfilled by CampMeds, or you'd like to speak with our nursing staff, please reach out. Accommodations can be made on a case by case basis. ## Travel to Bear Lake Getting to and from Bear Lake is straightforward, and our office team coordinates every arrival and departure to make sure your camper has a smooth trip. The options available to you depend on when your camper is traveling, so read through the timelines below before submitting a request. This form is a request, not a confirmation. Travel plans are not finalized until our office follows up with you directly. ### Opening & Closing Day On opening and closing day, we offer the most flexibility: Tri-State charter coach service from the NY/NJ/CT metro area; group flights from Boston (BOS) with camp pick-up and drop-off in the Boston area; or arrivals and departures through Portland International Jetport (PWM), where camp staff meet every flight. Families are also welcome to drive, and many turn it into a Maine road trip. Drop-off and pick-up at camp is between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm. We can accommodate unaccompanied minors on flights; all flight details must be confirmed with the office. ### Mid-Season Dates If your camper is joining or leaving between opening and closing day, airport pick-up and drop-off is available with office green light. If your situation doesn't fit the options above, like a wedding, a tournament, or an unusual routing, reach out and let's figure it out together.
