Within a framework of electives, campers build their own schedules, choosing the activities that spark their curiosity and fuel their passions. Our low-pressure environment is designed for genuine self-discovery, where positive encouragement and trust give campers the confidence to try new things and dive into deeper waters (sometimes literally!). You'll be astonished by what your camper accomplishes here. One of the things that makes Wigwam special is that we meet every camper exactly where he is. Whether your son is a seasoned pro or picking up a paddle for the first time, we adjust the pace to fit him, not the other way around. We can slow things down, open up new challenges, or go completely off-script for a special project or a silly idea that turns into something unforgettable. Unique interests? Unusual requests? Bring them on. We've got it covered. A typical day flows like this: mornings are dedicated to three instructional periods grouped by age, where skills are built and interests take root. Afternoons open up into two recreational periods with mixed ages, a favorite time for friendships to form across bunks. Afternoons also bring the adventures: field trips, golf outings, and inter-camp competitions that get everyone fired up. As the sun goes down, evenings shift into classic camp mode, think spirited activities, a little hygiene (yes, it's on the schedule!), and a full-camp event to cap the night. And of course, so much of the magic happens between the scheduled events. Spontaneity, socialization, and camp spirit are never an afterthought here. They're woven into every corner of the day. ## Daily Schedule 7:45 AM Reveille Rise and shine! Another great Wigwam day in the books. ## Perfection Sunday Perfection Sunday is exactly that, a perfect change-up from our favorite activities. Polar Bear Club and sleep-in, followed by brunch and letter writing. Three "block" periods with camp traditions and zany mash-ups: long distance swim, sailing regatta, rocketry launch, team practices, triple crown hikes, and tubing galore. A counselor-led cookout dinner, with a full-camp activity to boot. Finishing the day with sign-up, ice cream sundaes, the Wigwam Weekly and talent show. For our full-session campers, no two weeks are the same. Spirit days, mid-summer festivities, and capstone events in key activity areas, including performances, expeditions, and tournaments, build anticipation all summer long. And when weeks six and seven roll around, the traditions kick into high gear, the kind your son will be talking about on the ride home and counting down to next year. The magic deepens the longer a boy calls Wigwam home. As campers grow into veterans, the experience grows with them. Age-appropriate trips, rites of passage, new responsibilities, and well-earned rewards keep things fresh and meaningful every summer. It is not just a summer.
